I just turned off a video where some youngster who hasn't lived for 3/4 of a century was telling everyone what state we're in and how we got here. I already know, having lived through a good portion of it.
But here's the thing; you didn't have to hitch your wagon to that star, and you don't have to continue to believe something so dysfunctional will be our salvation. There's no evidence to support the situation will get any better, so change the situation.
Playing a game where one person cheats all the time and changes the rules and insists he's allowed to because he owns the cards isn't necessary. Pick up your pieces and go home: the playground is bigger than one spot on it. Play with your other friends, your real friends. Not the neighbourhood bully.
The only way to deal with a bully is to not deal with him.
