A curious thing.
I am convinced my Crumbbook is trying to gaslight me. It's not possible I make that many typos, is it? LOL Anyway, I'm sure it changes words on me but as far as I know there is no active auto-correct.
But there is this odd bit of evidence: I have actually been copy/pasting whenever it does a 'random character dump' on me. Yesterday it did this one: "Ryanhy6jm7u". The word I typed was "Ryan"; the other characters came from the keyboard buffer. Now that would just be weird if it weren't for the fact an earlier (some other day) event generated this: "momenhy6jm7ut". The word I typed was "moment". Notice the extra characters are exactly the same sequence between the two: "hy6jm7u".
That has to be a clue as to what is going on. But can it explain why sometimes a single 's' is added making a singular word plural? Or is that my brain doing that? And could this phenomenon explain how a word gets changed in tense such as "needed" showing up as "needing"? Can it be random chance causing random characters that result in a real word? Or is that my aging brain again?
Which of the mistakes are mine, and which are the computer's?
I really think I'm being gaslighted by technology.
