Can any web site be trusted?
We all go searching for things on the Internet. No matter what search engine you use or what you enter into it you get thousands of responses.
So, do you ever get the feeling as you glance over the descriptions of the results of your search that you're looking at multiple copies of the exact same web site? Of course the name and domain are changed, but there is such an eerie similarity in the synopses that sometimes it can't be explained away as "of course many sites about one subject are bound to be described in a similar manner". It's definitely more like "we all buy our advertising from the same AI bot". Perhaps even the situation we're familiar with where certain products sold on certain web sites actually are duplicates right down to the images and the only difference is the name of the seller (which vanishes into oblivion once the "brand's" reputation fails due to poor quality).
The way things are today, I have come to not trust any search results that show an unknown site name. I won't even click on it to see what it's like because of the potential for it being harmful.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but that's what the proliferation of "everybody getting in on the act" has done to me.
