Fat Cat Math
(Done in Imperial measure for ease of understanding.)
I have a cat. He weighs 25 lbs. He's big, but he has small feet. When he steps on you, you feel it. I calculated the size of his feet and worked it out to approximately 8 pounds per square inch.
Okay, if he were a man how much would he weigh then?
I took some measurements of my own feet. I know they are 'average' because every time I go to buy a pair of shoes my size is the one that's sold out. Average length times average width times two feet equals 55 square inches of foot.
Now multiply by the cat's 8 psi pressure rating and you get ...
The equivalent of a 440 lbs. man.
I told you he was big.
