Finding a laugh where you can.
Someplace else in this vast digital quagmire the Internet has become, I happened to make a remark on an article about a plastic camera and how heat cycling can be damaging to them. The person who wrote the article knows I'm an engineer and knows I have an absurd amount of experience with cameras (and not just plastic ones). Their reply might have been taken as an insult, given that knowledge. I found it oddly amusing for the same reason. Like: "Did you forget who you're talking too?"
I don't know. Most people probably wouldn't read even that much into it. Maybe it's because I have often had to remind people that yes, I actually do know what I'm talking about when it comes to certain things. People who've never met me wouldn't know that, but why do I occasionally have to remind my own wife of my qualifications? LOL
