Google Docs sucks bilge water
There; I've said it. I don't care if you disagree with me. I've been at a keyboard since before they were electronic and you had to set tabs by hand. I'm sick of people saying GD (curiously the same letters as God damn) is wonderful. These people have probably never written anything in their lives. At least not anything substantial.
Yeah, yeah I'm ranting. I'm ranting because GD shows me a grand total of NINE lines of editable text at a time on this 11.5" Chromebook. Barely a short paragraph. Heck the built-in COS text editor shows 24! I'm ranting because it has no viable 'search' function, much less 'search and replace'. Because it does a 'word count' which instead counts characters, not words (maybe that's for all the functional illiterates out there who write in single-characters only).
Mainly I'm ranting because every time I try to use this pile of crap code called Google Docs it frustrates me into giving up because it's just so incredibly bad at doing the job!
Why don't they have something like 'Windows Write' from back in the 3.1 days? It worked. Did everything necessary. Was not full of useless 'features'.
Okay; end rant. Until the next time I need to write a document and get pissed off at all the bad code that passes for programs these days.
