He explains it well (of course). If it weren't for my creative writing classes, failing memory, and refusal to deal with AI at any detectable level I'd be in the same boat. Perhaps I am, but just don't realise it.\
It occurs to me that this might have a deeper, more sinister effect than simply barring those who can use language correctly: it encourages ignorance. Very basic ignorance too; the ignorance that prevents one from expressing themselves clearly on any topic, no matter how uninformed on said topic they may be.\
Imagine our dystopian future, then: Anyone who can write properly is banned from expressing themselves, from voicing objection to the robots who run everything by being condemned as one of them. All who are left to speak freely will be gibbering idiots unable to construct a coherent sentence. You know; like Donald Trump. Or indeed the 'masters of technology' who speak and write nonsensically in a form of indecipherable technobabble that is the digital-day equivalent of Cockney rhyming slang. (No reader; it is not only you who can't understand what they say. People with engineering degrees have the same trouble.)\
Unfortunately society has already gone over the edge of that cliff, and is falling rapidly towards the hard ground below. It isn't the future: it's now.
