Out of power.
Electricity went off shortly after 4:00 PM. No word yet as to the cause, but it was probably related to the wildfires in some way.
It was a bit of a problem in this all-electric house. Especially as the power stayed off a little over two hours. Dinner was delayed.
And then there's the matter of it being 33 degrees. And staying hot due to cloud cover (which produced none of the cooling rain that had been predicted). The A/C of course wasn't working, so the 22 degree bedroom warmed up to 28 quickly enough. In other words, it was hot - too hot to go to bed.
So I stayed up with the A/C on, waiting for the room temperature to go down and the outside temperature to do likewise so the room would stay cool after I shut the machine off (can't sleep with that noisy cooler running).
As I write this it is not quite 8:00 PM. Still 28 outside and only down to 24 inside. sigh I guess I have to wait a while longer before retiring for the night. I'll still have to get up at 4:30 to feed the fats. Er, cats.
