Please learn how to write.
I'm not trying to be mean here, although I realise it will come across that way. But really people; writing properly is important. If you cannot express your thoughts intelligibly, no one is going to understand what you're trying to say. What's the good in that? You'll have wasted your time, and informed no one.
That sounds mean, yet it is meant to be helpful. I'm not talking about the odd typographical error; everyone makes those. Nor am I reflecting badly on vernacular or people who are trying from a second-language stance. I'm talking about people misusing their native tongue. It happens more often than you think.
I'm not going to site examples because the authors might read this and recognise themselves and feel shamed. But I have seen some pretty bad examples even here on Bear Blog, where you have the option of saving a post as a draft and then viewing it to check your own work. Haste makes waste, or at least incomprehensible drivel.
You don't have to be an expert linguist to use the language properly. Not any more than you have to be an engineer to drive a car. But you should be able to tell the difference between a noun and an adjective, and use them accordingly. You should also be able to handle pluralisation. Getting tenses right may be a little more tricky, yet you can do it without worrying about all the details and terminology of grammar. (And no, grammar-checkers aren't always right.)
If you want people to read what you have to say and think about your point of view then stating your case clearly is absolutely necessary. Likewise going overboard on word choice and terminology will cause you to come across as a pompous twit who's just trying to impress people with the lingo rather than with the thought.
And this from a guy whose brain cuts out on every-other sentence leaving himself wondering what the hell he was trying to say.
Slow down, check your work, and get it right. Or at least 'right enough' so your audience isn't so baffled by your writing that they give up and turn away from reading it.
