RE: My city is still on fire

A fellow wildfire sufferer, but in a different place: https://bonkposting.online/my-city-is-still-on-fire-and-the-sky-remains-choked-with-smoke/

My sympathies, friend. Here we have been experiencing Summer of Fire since 2017, and you do not get used to it. You will hear us make jokes, but we're just trying to cover up our PTSD. Currently thousands of people have been displaced, hundreds of homes destroyed, and the total extent of the damage will not be known for a long time because the fires are still out of control.

We need rain. It's really the only thing that can combat the burning. Of course there are places that are getting rain, such as in Quebec where it has deluged and washed out roads.\

That's the new normal: one extreme or the other. It's not sustainable, but it will go on forever. Even if you could get all eight billion people in this world to agree to do something and what to do, it's too late. The damage is done, and no amount of technology can repair the planet now.\

Sorry: truth is not always beauty.
