Shorts: blipverts made real.
I do not watch tik-tok videos. Nor YouTube shorts. Nor any other form of short video. Do you? For heaven's sake why?
All a 'short' is, is an excuse to put a (or a hundred) ad(s) in front of you. It is Internet Video Distillation to the extreme: absolute minimal 'content' to the point where there is no point in viewing it. But the ads are 'full length' (id est long enough to annoy you).
The short videos don't even play right on my system. They do weird things such as not show all the screen and continually loop around. Why? Because I use a computer and these things are designed to be viewed on a 'smart phone' - aka digital drug distribution device.
A whole lot of people have been zombified by this garbage technology, specifically designed to make you Watch, Buy, Repeat.
Now if you're wondering what a 'blipvert' is ... Well you have to go back in time to a show called Max Headroom. A great bit of sci-fi wherein an unscrupulous company was jamming TV shows full of these incredibly short advertisements that went unnoticed by the viewer, except for the subliminal effect of influencing them to buy the product. What was the problem with that?
It made people's heads literally explode.
