So there's a stupid conspiracy theory going 'round that says the wildfires are caused by "weather manipulation'.

Apparently the government does it with satellites or something in order to control the population or make rich people richer or turn frogs gay. I don't know.
I do know you'll never convince idiots that they're idiots. Clearly our schools have failed to explain things like 'how weather works' and the sheer amount of energy in the atmosphere at any given moment versus the total output of every power plant on Earth. Or that the only outcome of wildfires is everyone gets poorer, even the rich.
Now here's the weird part: in a way, they're not wrong.
The man-made climate change caused by centuries of 'greenhouse gases' building up coupled with the release of heat from fossil fuels (essentially stored sunlight) has in fact altered the climate to such a degree (and much more quickly than anyone had forecast) that the fires are more easily and likely ignited and have huge amounts of fuel available to burn. Which of course contributes to climate change.
But that factual part of it is the bit the idiots refuse to believe.
