Wounded shoulder
Uncomfortable right shoulder. Touch it with left hand. What is that bump? Reach under the T-shirt. Feels like some kind of lump. Better investigate; off comes the shirt.
It's a red splotch, with a central protrusion maybe 1/8 inch high. And some swelling around and beneath. No, not swelling; it's mobile like trapped fluid. Looks like a severe bug bite with allergic reaction? The sort of thing I get from spider bites, but this would have to be one helluva spider!
Okay, stave off infection; rub it down with Polysporin. How could a bug even get in under two layers? It wasn't there in the morning when I got dressed. Doesn't appear to be an open wound anyway. More like an eruption from within. Really odd spot for that sort of thing too; right on top of the shoulder. Not an easy place to inspect, by the way.
Keep an eye on it. See what happens. Avoid going to doctor.
Maybe it is a spider bite; there are now a few (very few) spiders in this place (there were none when it was finished two years ago). Maybe it's from a radioactive spider and I'll get superpowers. I could use superpowers.
Of course all you really get from a radioactive spider bite is dead.
